Baltimore, MD—A Maryland Data Research Report, which includes a comprehensive review of 1400 deceased individuals still listed on the official Voter Registration Database as of the close of registration on August 7, 2024, has raised significant concerns regarding the integrity of voter records in the state. On Wednesday, September 18th, this report was delivered to the Maryland State Board of Elections, urging them to address or clarify the status of these registrations at their upcoming State Board meeting on Tuesday, September 24th.

As of today, September 27th, the State Board of Elections or any representative thereof has not responded to the request for clarification. This lack of communication is troubling, especially as this data is part of a broader database of registration violations currently being tracked. Ongoing research aims to collect evidence of illegally registered or invalid registrations being used to request and submit ballots during the 2024 General Election.

In light of the Board’s silence, an additional letter was sent highlighting citizen’s concerns and reiterating the request for action. Transparency is crucial to maintaining public trust in our electoral processes. Therefore, we are reaching out to the media for assistance in bringing this issue to the forefront. Public trust grows under sunlight, and in a time when confidence in government agencies is at an all-time low, we believe that full transparency will significantly help rebuild that trust.

We urge the State Board of Elections to respond promptly and take the necessary steps to ensure that the voter registration database is accurate and up-to-date. The integrity of our elections depends on it.
