[Glen Arm, MD] – A Maryland voter has raised a serious concern about the integrity of the state’s election system after receiving a second official mail-in ballot for the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election, despite already having their initial ballot processed and counted.
The individual, whose ballot was officially marked as processed and counted on October 9, 2024, was surprised to find another ballot in their mailbox this morning. This incident highlights a potential vulnerability in the election system, where a single voter could theoretically cast multiple ballots. While this particular voter has made it clear they would never exploit this flaw, the situation calls into question whether Maryland’s election security is overly reliant on voters’ honesty.
“This morning, I received a second official mail-in ballot, despite having been notified that my first ballot was processed more than a week ago,” the concerned voter said. “While I would never dream of taking advantage of this system weakness and casting more than one vote, are we really comfortable leaving the integrity of our elections in the hands of individuals’ willingness to not exploit these vulnerabilities?”
This alarming development adds to a growing list of concerns regarding the security of Maryland’s election system, which has repeatedly been described as reliable by the Maryland Board of Elections. Despite assurances from officials, this voter and many others have long questioned the system’s ability to prevent fraud and uphold trust in the democratic process.
“Our team has been gathering evidence for years, demonstrating the flaws in Maryland’s election system,” the voter continued. “This latest incident hits home on a personal level and only strengthens our resolve to demand greater transparency and accountability from the Maryland Board of Elections.”
About SecureTheVoteMD
Our Secure the Vote team includes citizen volunteers working locally with Maryland Election Integrity LLC and nationally with United Sovereign Americans to ensure valid, accurate, and trustworthy voter rolls. Team members vary from data and legal experts to at-home moms and retired citizens.
We work with the local board of elections to assist in their oversight of the voter rolls. Accurate voter rolls are required under the law for the voters to trust the election system. When we identify critical system irregularities, lack of controls, and voter data errors, the board of elections, by law, must remedy the concerns of the citizens.
Our national association with United Sovereign Americans standardizes the process to ensure legally-valid elections using a comprehensive and easy to understand framework that shows the American voting system is broken. Through an education and litigation strategy the national goal is to fix the election system for all Americans.
