On July 14, the Maryland State Board of Elections received a letter from the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division inquiring about the status of Maryland’s voter roll maintenance program. According to an audit conducted by the Department of Justice, Maryland’s voter rolls do not conform to normal registration rates.
