Secure the Vote MD (STVMD) has identified more than 236,000 voter registration violations, revealing widespread inaccuracies and significant bloating in Maryland’s voter rolls. STVMD has joined forces with the Maryland Freedom Caucus to introduce the Secure the Vote Act of 2026, a comprehensive package of election integrity measures designed to restore transparency and public confidence in Maryland’s elections. The legislation addresses key vulnerabilities in the system, with a focus on three foundational safeguards: Voter ID, citizen verification, and in-person voting.
Lobby Day will give constituents the opportunity to learn more about the bill, engage directly with lawmakers, and publicly demonstrate support for common-sense election protections. Organizers emphasize that secure elections are not a partisan issue, but a prerequisite for a healthy democracy.
